The Challenge
The client wanted a messaging app that could compete with established players by offering a faster, cleaner experience. The app needed real-time message delivery, group chat support, media sharing, and reliable push notifications — all while maintaining user privacy.
Our Solution
We built Pigeon using React Native for cross-platform performance and WebSocket connections for instant message delivery. The backend runs on Node.js with MongoDB for flexible data storage and Firebase Cloud Messaging for reliable push notifications. The UI was designed to be minimal and distraction-free, putting conversations front and center.
